MPSC can help design the optimum balance between flexibility and vulnerability; between meeting the operational needs and protecting them; and between cost and results.
The list of alternatives is seemingly endless . . . TCP/IP, RRAS, IGMP, DSL, DS3, ATM, FDDI, IPX, 10BaseT, Gigabit Ethernet. Whether you have a small network of desktop PC´s or you manage multiple subnets, MPSC has the expertise to provide design and implementation assistance for your network infrastructure. With hundreds of successful network implementations under our belt, we have proven experience in the field. Microsoft, Cisco and other leading technology providers have certified our staff in network design and this expertise is the foundation upon which our services rest.
Extensive planning is undertaken to determine future needs and to address current issues. The network infrastructure must be flexible enough to respond to unanticipated change, durable enough to resist disaster and attack, and large enough to support the capacity needs of the network services. However, these needs should be balanced with budgetary concerns, and should not drive a needlessly complex system into an otherwise simple environment.
To begin, we perform a network and security analysis or audit, the results of which are used to create documentation and diagrams of your infrastructure. We discuss with you anticipated changes in your organization, and identify your perceived needs and concerns. MPSC then creates a proposed network design diagram with any necessary associated documentation. This may include Logical, Geographical, LAN, WAN, Protocol, Remote Access, PKI, Switching Infrastructure, Wiring, Data Flow and physical diagrams. This can be presented in a variety of formats and reviewed with you to be sure your network will meet your current and future needs.
If you feel this design meets your requirements, MPSC can help you implement the design in whole or in part, based on possible phased approaches and your levels of in house expertise. MPSC can procure equipment, configure it and document the configuration. We can implement new configurations, additional servers, and train staff on the system. During this process we will make every effort to leverage your existing IT infrastructure to meet your changing needs. Among other components, MPSC may make recommendations regarding:
Hardware:
- Servers: File, Print, Application, Fax, Email/Groupware, Web, Gateway, Remote Access, Imaging, Removable Media, e-Business, and Management Servers, as well as servers in support of advanced application services (Server Farms, n-tier designs).
- Workstations: Memory, Hard Drive, CPU, thin client, wireless, etc.
- Routers: Mounting hardware and rack equipment, Firewalls, NAT, VPN Hosts
- Wiring: Hubs, Switches, Punch down blocks, Architectural cabling
